Welcome to e-dermoscopy!
Basic Dermoscopy Course
Part I of the “Master of Dermoscopy and preventive Dermatooncology”
Module 13: Consultation on the Job.
Each participant has to send in 20 cases for teleconsultation (second opinion) following a pre-defined checklist.
The checklist is based on the article by Malvehy et al. Dermoscopy report:
Proposal for standardization JAAD 2007 (PDF).
In this module you should use your own cases to interpret the dermoscopic appearance and to discuss with one of the international experts.
How to use the application
After your login you will be redirected to your personal home page, there you are able to see how many cases you have already sent to your tutor.
To send a case to your tutor you have to click on "new case" and insert all data. After your case has been submitted, you will see it in the overview list. Just click on "my cases" and you are able to see the list of all of your cases. New cases submitted by you appear in a green box, if the tutor has not answered it yet.
Afterwards your tutor is going to answer your case. You will get an email if the tutor has done that.
Afterwards your case is in "comment mode", so you can chat with your tutor and of course ask questions if there are any. During the time your case is in "comment mode" the case appears in a yellow box in your overview list.
If not or if all questions has been answered, you have to finish the case using the "close case" button on the right side inside of the case which is called "case details".
The case details view can be reached by clicking on the case itself in your overview list.
Important
You need to close the case in the end, if all of your questions has been discussed.
Only closed cases will be rated and count for the grading.
You need to submit and close 20 cases.
